Description
A collection of philatelic items and ephemera, primarily dating from the late 20th century. The lot includes several Royal Mail First Day Covers, notably a 1983 Commonwealth Day issue and a 1983 British Engineering Achievements issue, both bearing postmarks from Romford, Essex, and addressed to Buckhurst Hill, Essex. Also present are various loose postage stamps from regions including Great Britain and Jamaica, alongside philatelic booklets such as the Charity of Sheffield Postal Venture dated 1999. The materials consist of paper and card, with a portion of the collection housed in a black ring-bound album containing plastic sleeves. The items are contained within a blue plastic storage crate.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in overall good vintage condition. Some loose stamps and ephemera show minor edge wear and handling marks consistent with age. The album and plastic sleeves show typical signs of use.
