Description
A brooch in the form of an insect, featuring two polished green Baltic amber stones set within a 925 silver frame. The design incorporates open-work filigree wings and a detailed head with antennae. The thorax is set with a circular amber cabochon, while the abdomen features a larger marquise-cut amber stone showing characteristic internal inclusions. The reverse is stamped with a 925 hallmark and is fitted with a pin and revolving safety catch.
Condition report:
The item is in good overall condition. There is minor surface wear and light oxidation to the silver consistent with use. The amber stones are secure and free from significant chips or cracks.
