Description
A vintage pendant constructed from a 1962 British sixpence coin set within a 925 silver bezel. The reverse of the coin features hand-painted or enamelled details highlighting the floral emblems of the United Kingdom, including the rose, thistle, shamrock, and leek. It bears the inscriptions FID: DEF:, SIX PENCE, and the year 1962. The obverse displays a gilded profile of Queen Elizabeth II against a black background, surrounded by the Latin inscription ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA. The 925 silver mount is designed with decorative scrollwork and an integrated bail for suspension. The item is presented in a modern black plastic floating display frame.
Condition report:
The piece appears in good condition with vibrant colours to the enamelling. Minor surface wear and light oxidation to the silver components are present, consistent with age and use.
