Description
A pair of scalloped black leather martingale straps mounted with cast brass horse brasses. The collection features the twelve signs of the zodiac: Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and Cancer. Each ornament has the name of the sign cast into the lower border. The brasses are secured to the leather straps via individual leather loops. One strap is fitted with a brass buckle at the top. These items represent traditional equestrian decorative harness ornaments.
Condition report:
The brass components exhibit a natural aged patina with surface tarnish and minor oxidation. The leather straps show light surface wear and creasing consistent with age. All brasses appear securely attached.
