Description
A collection of reference books featuring a four-volume set of The World of Music: An Illustrated Encyclopedia, published by Abradale, 1963. The volumes are bound with black and red spines featuring gilt-lettered titles and alphabetical designations from A to Z across Volumes I to IV. The front covers of the music encyclopedia are decorated with various art reproductions depicting musical and performance scenes. Included with the set is a blue cloth-bound copy of The Lyle Official Antiques Review 1981, which displays gilt-toned decorative scrollwork and titles on the front cover and spine.
Condition report:
The items show visible signs of shelf wear, including scuffing to the edges and corners. A prominent crack is visible at the top of the spine on Volume I of the music encyclopedia set. The bindings show general wear consistent with age and use.
