Description
An Art Deco cigarette case of square form, constructed from 925 silver. The exterior features engine-turned decoration with a pattern of vertical stripes over a fine wavy ground. The front cover includes a rectangular cartouche engraved with the script monogram B C. The interior is finished with a gold wash and bears clear hallmarks for Birmingham, 1931, alongside the maker mark for S. Blanckensee and Son Ltd.

The item shows light surface wear and minor tarnishing consistent with age. The internal elastic retainer is currently absent.
