Description
A pair of mid-20th-century Lieberman & Gortz Vistar binoculars. The instrument features a 16×50 magnification specification and is constructed with black textured barrel coverings and a central focus adjustment wheel. The eyepieces are stamped with the manufacturer name Lieberman & Gortz, the model name Vistar, and the magnification 16×50. The binoculars are accompanied by a brown leather carrying case with a burgundy velvet-lined interior and a metal buckle closure. The case is stamped MADE IN ENGLAND on the front. An attached leather neck strap is included.
Condition report:
Overall condition is good, showing expected signs of age and use. There is minor paint loss on the metal edges of the binoculars. The leather case and strap exhibit light scuffing and wear consistent with age.
