Description
A hand-carved walking cane crafted from a dense dark hardwood. The handle is zoomorphically carved, featuring stylised animal head characteristics with light-coloured inlays for the eyes and tusks. The upper portion of the shaft is decorated with a geometric pattern of small, inlaid white dots. The lower section features a carved spiral twist motif similarly accented with inlaid dots. The piece exhibits folk art styling, potentially of African origin.
Condition report:
The cane is in good overall condition. There is minor surface wear and small chips to the wood consistent with age and use.
