Description
A trio of commemorative half-crown coins issued by Gibraltar, celebrating the life and career of Elvis Presley. The group is struck in white metal and comprises two circular coins and one coin in the form of a guitar plectrum. The first circular coin features a relief portrait of the artist with a guitar and microphone, inscribed THE KING OF ROCK N ROLL with a facsimile signature; the reverse depicts the coat of arms of Gibraltar under the reign of King Charles III, dated 2023. The second circular coin displays a full-colour portrait of Elvis Presley with musical motifs and a facsimile signature; the reverse shows the coat of arms of Gibraltar under the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, dated 2022. The plectrum-shaped coin depicts a performing portrait and signature on the obverse, with the reverse featuring the coat of arms of Gibraltar under King Charles III, dated 2024. All items are housed in individual clear plastic protective capsules.
Condition report:
The coins appear to be in excellent, uncirculated condition. The protective capsules show no significant signs of wear.
