Description
A 935 silver open-face pocket watch featuring a white dial with black Roman numeral hour markers and a subsidiary seconds dial. The dial is finished with engine-turned detailing to the centre. The 935 silver case is ornately engraved on the reverse with a central floral motif enclosed within a geometric star border and foliate surrounds. Internal markings include a 0.935 silver fineness stamp, the German crescent moon and crown hallmark, and a maker’s mark. The interior case back also bears several hand-scratched jeweller’s service notations. The watch is paired with a heavy linked silver chain terminating in a T-bar and a multi-strand chain tassel fob with a decorative cap.
Condition report:
The item displays age-related wear including surface tarnish to the silver components. There is visible peripheral discolouration to the dial. The case and interior show minor surface scratches and service notations consistent with historical maintenance.
