Description
A large glazed ceramic figurine of an Old English Sheepdog, in the style of mid-20th-century British commercial potteries such as Coopercraft or Melba Ware. The dog is depicted in a seated position with the head turned slightly to the left and the mouth open to reveal a pink tongue. The piece features a textured surface to simulate the breed’s long coat. It is finished in a glossy glaze with a cream and white base for the head and forequarters, and dark grey and black patches on the body and ears. No factory marks, model numbers, or decorator signatures are visible on the base or body of the item.
