Description
A collection of British commemorative coinage and currency. The group includes multiple 1977 Silver Jubilee crowns, also known as 25 New Pence pieces, struck in cupro-nickel. Several of these crowns are housed in blue plastic presentation cases, identified by web consensus as issues distributed by National Westminster Bank. Also included is a 1980 crown commemorating the 80th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. The collection further contains British sixpence coins, with dates including 1960 and 1963 visible. The 1977 crowns feature the equestrian portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and the floral emblem within a garter on the reverse. The 1980 crown depicts the portrait of the Queen Mother. The sixpences feature the Tudor rose, thistle, shamrock, and leek design.
Condition report:
The coins appear in good condition with minor surface marks consistent with handling. The protective plastic presentation cases and holders exhibit visible surface wear, including scratching, scuffing, and age-related discolouration. One square holder shows significant surface abrasions and residue.
