Description
A collection of United Kingdom 50p coins commemorating prehistoric life and significant palaeontological discoveries. The subjects depicted include the Plesiosaurus, Hylaeosaurus, Megatherium, Woolly Rhinoceros, Diplodocus, Temnodontosaurus, Dimorphodon, Mammoth, Ichthyosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus. The series includes references to notable figures including Mary Anning and Gideon Mantell. Each coin is struck to a brilliant uncirculated standard and is presented on an individual navy blue display card printed with UNITED KINGDOM 50p. The packaging features a holographic security strip at the base certifying the status of the coins. This presentation format is consistent with issues distributed by the Westminster Collection.
Condition report:
The coins and their original presentation cards are in excellent condition, showing no significant signs of wear or handling. The holographic security strips remain intact.
