Description
A trio of vintage household instructional volumes. The collection includes Cookery Illustrated and Household Management, The New Illustrated Gardening Encyclopaedia by Richard Sudell, and The Big Book of Needlecraft. Two volumes are bound in illustrated cream cloth featuring decorative borders and thematic logos in blue and green respectively. The gardening volume is bound in green cloth with gilt-stamped lettering on the spine. Each book is housed in its matching original brown cardboard slipcase.
Condition report:
The set exhibits signs of age-related wear. There is visible surface staining and foxing to the cloth covers. Rubbing and edge wear are present on the bindings, with toning visible on the page edges. The cardboard slipcases show significant wear, including rubbing, edge wear, and tearing.
