Description
A pair of Wade Whimsies glazed ceramic figurines from the Nursery Favourites series, manufactured in England. The lot features characters identified as Little Miss Muffet and Little Jack Horner. Each figurine is finished in a high-gloss glaze with a palette of brown, green, and cream tones. Little Miss Muffet is depicted in a full gown with a ruffled collar holding a bowl, while Little Jack Horner is shown seated and wearing a jacket with striped trousers, holding a small dish. These pieces exhibit the characteristic glaze variations and surface crazing typical of mid-20th-century decorative pottery.
