Description
A WW1 German cigarette case of rectangular form, constructed from 925 silver. The exterior is decorated with an all-over engine-turned geometric pattern with central star motifs. The interior features a gold-tone wash and a hinged opening with a push-button clasp. The left interior panel is hand-engraved with a German inscription: Meinem Jascha zur Erng. an die zusammen verbrachte Zeit Hil. Zwickau 1947. An illegible hallmark or fineness mark is visible on the upper interior rim.
Condition report:
The case shows minor surface scratches, light tarnishing, and wear commensurate with age and handling.
