Description
This collection of British philatelic and royal commemorative items comprises various mint stamps, commemorative covers, and presentation packs dating from the late 20th century. The group features a red presentation book titled The Sixtieth Birthday of Her Majesty the Queen 21st April 1986, which includes commemorative stamps and biographical text. Also included are several sets and covers for the 1981 wedding of the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer, and British Post Office mint stamp packs for the 1969 Investiture of the Prince of Wales (Arwisgiad Tywysog Cymru). Further items include a miniature sheet from the London 1980 International Stamp Exhibition and a British Post Office pack commemorating the Bicentennial of American Independence 1776-1976. The items are constructed of printed card and paper, with many preserved in their original plastic or card presentation sleeves.
Condition report:
The collection is in good overall condition. The stamps appear to be in mint, unmounted state. Some presentation sleeves and the 1986 book show minor signs of handling and shelf wear consistent with age.
