Description
A trio of philatelic numismatic covers issued by Mercury of Watford, commemorating British military anniversaries. The group includes a 50th Anniversary of the Berlin Airlift (1999) First Day Cover featuring a block of four 1st class stamps, an RAF Museum postmark dated 12 May 1999, and an embedded commemorative medallion. The second item is a Royal Air Force 80th Anniversary Commemorative Cover containing an integrated five-pound coin, themed stamps, and biplane illustration. The third item is a 50th Anniversary of D-Day (1944-1994) First Day Cover featuring five 25p stamps postmarked Portsmouth 6 June 1994 and an integrated fifty-pence coin. Each cover is individually numbered and features printed illustrative artwork.
Condition report:
The collection appears in good condition with minor signs of handling consistent with age. The card covers show light shelf wear to the corners. Stamps, coins, and medallions remain securely mounted.
