Description
A pair of antique aqua glass mineral water bottles dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The first vessel is a pint-sized bottle featuring embossed lettering for WHITTAKER and BATH, arranged around a central pictorial trademark of a seated figure at a table. The second item is a Codd-neck bottle, a design incorporating an internal glass marble and pinched-neck chamber intended for carbonated beverages. This bottle features embossed text including the word SOUTH and a pictorial depiction of a building. Both vessels are constructed from pale green glass with mould-blown details.
Condition report:
Both bottles show evidence of age-related wear consistent with previous excavation or long-term storage. Characteristics include internal clouding, mineral deposits, and surface abrasions. There are visible scuffs and scratches to the glass bodies. No significant chips or cracks are observed.
