Description

A collection of 20th-century postage stamps and philatelic ephemera, primarily of British and Commonwealth origin. The lot comprises an assortment of loose stamps contained within clear plastic bags, stamps affixed to paper fragments, and items stored in paper envelopes. Notable inclusions feature a large brown envelope with handwritten notations regarding the Investiture of The Prince of Wales at Caernarvon, dated 1 July 1969, bearing a Manchester postmark from 18 March 1971. Visible stamps represent various territories including Guernsey and the Falkland Islands, featuring diverse denominations and commemorative themes. Several envelopes contain handwritten cataloguing notations.


Condition report:

Mixed condition throughout. Envelopes and paper fragments show varying degrees of wear, creasing, and age-related toning. Stamps appear in both used and unused states, with some remaining on original paper clippings.
