Description
A 2014 Jersey Proof Remembrance Poppy Five Pound Coin, featuring a red enamelled poppy to the reverse with the central inscription LEST WE FORGET. The obverse displays the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II BAILIWICK OF JERSEY 2014. The coin is presented in a clear protective plastic capsule. This lot further includes a collection of British sixpence coins dating from the late 1920s to the mid-1940s. The assortment contains coins from the reigns of King George V and King George VI, bearing inscriptions such as FID DEF IND IMP and SIXPENCE.
Condition report:
The commemorative five pound coin remains in its protective capsule and appears in excellent condition. The surrounding collection of sixpences exhibits typical signs of circulation, including surface wear, minor scratches, and varied toning.
