Description
A vintage German aqua glass Codd-neck soda bottle featuring the Darwin brand. This vessel is constructed with a pinched-neck design housing an internal dark glass marble stopper, a mechanism patented by Hiram Codd for carbonated beverages. The body is embossed with the text CODD’S PATENT BOTTLE and EXTRA STRONG GLASS above a heart-shaped emblem containing the name DARWIN. The glass displays characteristic manufacturing seeds and air bubbles throughout. A small paper lot label is affixed near the base.
Condition report:
The bottle shows signs of age including surface wear, light oxidisation, and internal residue. No major chips or cracks are visible.
