Description
A pair of vintage British Rail advertising posters produced for the InterCity sector in the early 1990s. The first poster promotes the Family Railcard and features a stylised cartoon illustration of a deer family, including a buck with a fawn perched upon his antlers and a doe. The text states Grown-ups get 25% off rail fares. The little deers go for only £1. This item was published by Advertising Services (BRB) for InterCity and is dated November 1991. The second poster, titled Destination Lakeland, depicts a photographic winter scene of the Lake District with snow-covered trees and a lake reflection. It includes promotional text regarding the Lake District and was published in Birmingham by InterCity, a business sector of the British Railways Board, with a date reference spanning September 1992 to May 1993. Both railway posters are printed on paper.
Condition report:
Both posters exhibit minor creasing, light surface marks, and handling wear consistent with age and storage. Some light edge wear is visible.
