Description
A group of Royal Mint Brilliant Uncirculated one pound coin presentation folders dating from 1983 to 1986. The collection comprises regional commemorative issues including the United Kingdom coin, the Scottish coin, the Welsh coin, and the Northern Ireland coin. Each coin is held within a protective circular aperture inside its original themed card folder. The Welsh folder features the red dragon with the motto Y ddraig goch ddyry cychwyn. The Scottish folder is illustrated with a bagpiper in traditional Highland dress. The Northern Ireland folder features a flax plant design, and the United Kingdom folder depicts a member of the Household Cavalry. The reverse of the folders contains technical specifications and design variations for the series.
Condition report:
The collection is in good original condition. The illustrated card packaging is well-preserved with only minor signs of handling and light shelf wear to the edges consistent with age. The coins remain securely held within their original protective apertures and appear in their issued uncirculated state.
