Description
An oil on canvas still life painting attributed to M. Aaron, depicting an arrangement of green and purple grapes, peaches, plums, and a glass of white wine. A portion of the fruit is displayed within a footed tazza. The work is signed Mac Oliver in red in the lower right corner. The painting is executed on a modern canvas stapled to a wooden stretcher bar featuring plastic corner braces. It is housed in a dark-toned wooden frame with a gilt inner fillet and fitted with a hanging wire to the reverse.
Dimensions: 12 by 9 inches (including frame)
Condition report:
The painting is in good, stable condition. The canvas is taut on the stretcher and the paint layer appears secure. The frame shows minor surface wear consistent with age and handling.
