Description
A collection of vintage Waddingtons jigsaw puzzles featuring ornithological and sporting themes. The group includes several circular puzzles from the nature series, specifically British Waders, Birds of Prey by David Binns (created for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds), Gibiers à Plume (Game Birds), and Wildvögel (Wild Birds). Also included is a Waddington Fine Art Vari-Piece puzzle depicting A Hunting Party after the 1775 painting by Francisco de Goya y Lucientes. The puzzles are constructed from Qualitex board and housed in their original illustrated boxes. The Goya puzzle is noted as containing 450 pieces, while the circular nature puzzles typically contain 500 pieces.
