Description
A Novica hand-carved soapstone jewellery box of hexagonal form. The lid features a central relief-carved floral motif within concentric bands of pierced jali lattice work and a chevron-patterned border. The base and sides are similarly decorated with relief carvings and further lattice panels. The box is constructed with a hinged lid, revealing a plain interior showing natural stone veining and tool marks.
Condition report:
Overall condition appears fair to good. Visible surface scuffing and minor scratches to the lid consistent with handling and age.
