Description
This 1997 Commonwealth of The Bahamas 2 Dollar commemorative proof coin is struck in 925 silver. The obverse features the right-facing crowned profile of Queen Elizabeth II, circumscribed by the text COMMONWEALTH OF THE BAHAMAS and the year 1997. The reverse depicts a young portrait of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, inscribed with the titles CHARMING LADY ELIZABETH and QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER, with the 2 DOLLARS denomination at the base. The coin exhibits a frosted cameo finish set against mirrored fields and is housed within a clear protective plastic capsule.
Condition report:
The coin appears to be in excellent condition. Minor surface scuffing is visible on the exterior of the protective plastic capsule.
