Description
A gold-plated commemorative medal issued to celebrate the British Portrait Series C one pound banknote. The circular medal features an engraved depiction of Britannia on the obverse, with two miniature replicas of the banknote adhered to the surface. The inscriptions read THE £1 BANKNOTE and PORTRAIT SERIES C. The item is presented in a clear plastic protective capsule and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity for Brit. Banknote GP Comm. Coins, bearing the serial number 02236. The entire set is contained within a clear plastic sleeve.
Condition report:
The medal appears to be in good condition, retained within its protective plastic capsule. No significant wear or oxidation is visible to the plated surfaces. The accompanying certificate and plastic sleeve show minor signs of handling consistent with age.
