Description
A collection of lead projectiles and objects, including musket balls and grape shot of various sizes. The lot features several perforated cylindrical and donut-shaped lead items, consistent with net weights, spindle whorls, or loom weights. Included is a flattened circular lead bale or cloth seal with embossed markings and a crest. The items are manufactured from lead or a heavy metal alloy, showing evidence of traditional casting.
Condition report:
All items are in an excavated state with heavy white oxidation and surface pitting. Adhering soil and environmental encrustation are present throughout the collection.
