Description
A Reuben Heaton Ever Ready hanging spring scale designed for angling. The circular metal housing features a dial graduated to 8 lbs in 1-ounce increments. The face displays a central portrait of Izaak Walton flanked by illustrations of fishing nets, rods, and reels. Printed text includes the maker’s name and address in Streetly, West Midlands. A red pointer is positioned behind a clear protective cover. The reverse of the casing retains an original metal instructional plate specifying a basket weight preset of 1 1/4 lbs or 0.5 kilo, along with maintenance warnings regarding lubrication. The unit is fitted with a top hanging loop and a lower suspension hook.
