Description
A trio of silver-coloured metal drinking vessels. The lot includes a tapered silverplate mint julep cup of the type associated with the Kentucky Derby, currently housed in protective plastic wrapping. Also present is a small tankard featuring a cast handle in the form of a bird, possibly a kingfisher, with a flared circular base and polished finish. The third vessel is a small christening mug or tankard featuring an engraved commemorative clock face design with fields for recording birth weight in pounds (lb) and ounces (oz) and a field for the date.
Bird handle tankard height: 82 mm
Mint julep cup height: 115 mm
Christening mug height: 80 mm
Condition report:
The items exhibit minor surface wear and light tarnishing to the polished and brushed finishes consistent with age and handling. The mint julep cup is contained within original plastic wrapping. No significant dents or previous repairs are visible.
