Description
A pair of drop earrings in the Victorian Revival style, constructed from 925 silver. Each earring features a central oval opalescent cabochon exhibiting a blue and orange play-of-colour. The cabochons are held in bezel settings within an ornate openwork frame. The decorative metalwork incorporates a textured cross-hatched diamond-shaped section at the top, with stylised foliate and scroll motifs surrounding the central stone. The earrings are suspended from fishhook ear wires.
Condition report:
Visible tarnish and light surface wear are present, consistent with age. The opalescent cabochons are secure in their settings. No hallmarks or maker\'s marks are visible.
