Description
A pair of Coalport polychrome ceramic figurines from the Treasury of Childhood series, based on the illustrations of Norman Rockwell. The first figurine, titled Let’s play instead., depicts a boy in a green jumper and blue trousers seated with his chin in his hands, accompanied by a brown and white dog and a stack of books. The second figurine depicts a boy dressed as a pirate wearing a tricorne hat and eye patch, kneeling beside an open treasure chest filled with toys with a parrot perched on his shoulder. Both pieces are rendered in a detailed illustrative style with a matte finish. The undersides are marked with the Coalport crown logo, the series title Treasury of Childhood, the 1995 copyright date, and Made in Thailand.
Condition report:
Both figurines are in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or evidence of restoration.
