Description
A trio of graduated ceramic jugs manufactured by KLM in Staffordshire, England. Each vessel is designed with a scalloped rim and base, featuring a green ombre glaze that fades into a cream-coloured central band. The exterior is decorated with a transfer-printed pastoral scene depicting figures in a landscape setting. The jugs are accented with ornate, gilt-painted handles and gilt-edged rims. The base of the pieces is marked with the KLM Staffordshire England stamp in black script.
Largest jug height: 16.5 cm
Medium jug height: 14 cm
Smallest jug height: 12 cm
Condition report:
Visible crazing is present to the glaze, particularly concentrated on the underside and lower sections of the vessels. There is observable wear and rubbing to the gilt highlights on the handles and rims. General surface marks consistent with age.
