Description
A collection of mid-20th-century printed ephemera and collectibles. The lot includes cigarette cards from the Famous Dog Breeds series, featuring various breeds in blue and white lithographic print. Also present is a set of Reeves Alphabet Stencils (Set No. 1) produced by Reeves and Sons, Ltd. Philatelic items comprise a 1966 Kent Philatelic Societies commemorative cover and a 1967 Yugoslavian first day cover for the International Space Technology Exhibition (Medjunarodna izlozba vasionske tehnike Kosmos Miru). Educational promotional material includes The New VIMTO Book For Scholars and two copies of BEECHAMS Help to Scholars published by Beechams Pills, Ltd., containing historical dates and reference tables.
Condition report:
The collection is in aged, vintage condition. Visible signs of wear include yellowing of paper, creasing to edges, and minor surface soiling consistent with age and handling. The stencil packaging shows some tearing and structural weakness.
