Description
A collection of commemorative philatelic numismatic covers (PNCs) produced by the Royal Mail and the Royal Mint between 2006 and 2009. The collection includes covers themed around the 150th anniversary of the National Portrait Gallery, the 90th anniversary of the end of the First World War (Remembrance 1918-2008) featuring poppy motifs, the centenary of the Territorial Army, and the Fire and Rescue Service. Each cardstock cover is mounted with themed commemorative postage stamps and official first day of issue postmarks. Inset into each cover is a brilliant uncirculated commemorative coin or medallion, including five pound and two pound denominations. Each cover is individually numbered with printed serial numbers: 02703, 00562, 12581, and 02891.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in excellent condition. The cardstock covers show crisp edges and bright colours with no visible creasing or surface wear. The stamps and postmarks are clear. The inset coins and medallions appear untarnished and are held securely within their protective windows.
