Description
This lot features a 1953 United Kingdom mint set and an assortment of international coins. The 1953 set consists of nine coins, including a half-crown, florin, English shilling, Scottish shilling, sixpence, threepence, penny, halfpenny, and farthing, housed in a clear plastic display sleeve. Also included are two plastic bags containing a collection of loose coins of various denominations and dates. One bag bears handwritten labels stating 20 COIN 5 DOLLARS and 1979-1998 DATE RUN. The other bag is labelled SPECIAL EDITIONS and 9 1/4 DOLLARS LEGAL. The coins are struck in various base metal alloys and exhibit a range of silver and copper tones. Lot number 715 stickers are present on the packaging of each component.
Condition report:
The 1953 mint set appears in good condition with some visible toning to the metal surfaces. The loose coins show varying degrees of circulation wear, including surface scratches and oxidation. The plastic sleeves and bags exhibit minor creasing and wear.
