Description
A set of commemorative gold-plated proof coins issued for St. Helena in 2013, forming part of the Sea Life of St. Helena series. The obverse of each coin features the profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, with inscriptions reading ELIZABETH II, ST. HELENA, and the date 2013. The reverse of each coin displays a colourised illustration depicting various marine species, including a sea turtle and different fish, set against a coastal background. Each reverse is inscribed with SEA LIFE OF ST. HELENA and the denomination TWENTY FIVE PENCE. The coins are struck with a proof finish and feature selective colour application to the reverse designs. The collection is housed in individual clear plastic protective capsules and presented in a polished wooden display case with a hinged lid and a black velvet-lined interior.
Condition report:
The coins appear to be in excellent condition, remaining sealed within their protective plastic capsules. There are no visible signs of toning, spotting, or handling wear to the coin surfaces. The wooden presentation case is well-preserved with no significant scratches or structural damage.
