Description
A vintage lithographed metal storage tin of rectangular form with shaped corners. The exterior features a deep blue ground decorated with gilt floral sprays and a central polychrome cartouche depicting a bird among flowers. The sides are further embellished with smaller floral cartouches. The interior contains a collection of sewing buttons in various materials, sizes, and styles, including plastic, metal, and shell, as well as several small bags of sewing notions.
Condition report:
The tin exhibits signs of age and use consistent with its vintage nature. There are surface scuffs, minor oxidation to the interior, and localised paint loss along the edges.
