Description

A pair of United Kingdom brilliant uncirculated two pound commemorative coins, each housed in its original illustrated cardstock presentation folder. The first item is a 1994 issue celebrating the Tercentenary of the Bank of England (1694-1994). The coin reverse displays a stylised corporate seal, and the folder contains historical text regarding the Bank’s first governor, Sir John Houblon, alongside an illustration of an 1853 Napier platen press. The second item is a 1995 issue commemorating the 50th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, titled In Peace Goodwill 1945-1995. Both the folder and the coin reverse depict a stylised dove of peace.

Condition report:

Both pieces appear to be in good condition. The coins are brilliant uncirculated as issued. The outer cardstock folders show minor shelf wear and light rubbing to the extremities.
