Description
A trio of official Royal Mint brilliant uncirculated one pound coin presentation packs dating from 1984 to 1987. The group consists of the 1984 Scottish, 1985 Welsh, and 1987 English pound coins. Each coin is presented within its original illustrated cardstock folder. The 1984 folder features a bagpiper, the 1985 folder depicts the Welsh red dragon with the inscription Y DDRAIG GOCH DDYRY CYCHWYN, and the 1987 folder displays St. George and the dragon. The reverse designs of the coins, created by artist Leslie Durbin, represent the floral emblems of the United Kingdom including the thistle, the leek, and the oak tree. The coins are held behind transparent protective windows and the folders include descriptive numismatic text regarding the series.
Condition report:
The coins are in uncirculated condition as issued. The outer cardstock folders exhibit light superficial wear, minor creasing, and shelf wear consistent with age and handling.
