Description
A pair of Chinese silk embroideries featuring avian subjects rendered in polychrome silk thread on a light-coloured silk substrate. The first panel depicts a variety of birds including a crane and mandarin ducks amongst blossoming branches beneath a red sun, accompanied by calligraphy translating to Hundred Birds Greeting Spring. The second panel depicts two peacocks on flowering branches titled Peacock Displaying Feathers, featuring a red artist seal.
