Description
A German Second World War period AEG dynamo flashlight. The device features a dark brown Bakelite body of rounded form, paired with a cream-coloured mechanical squeeze lever and matching lens housing. The housing is assembled with three flathead screws and incorporates a small metal sliding switch on the side. The internal dynamo mechanism is powered by the manual compression of the spring-loaded lever. Similar examples are attributed to German military use during the mid-20th century.
Condition report:
The item shows signs of age and use consistent with its vintage. There is visible surface scuffing and scratching to the Bakelite housing. The cream-coloured components exhibit minor staining and discolouration. Oxidation is present on the metal lever mechanism and visible internal components.
