Description
A Beswick Ware Sairey Gamp character jug and a Withernsea Pottery Fauna series vessel. The Beswick jug, model number 371, depicts the literary character wearing a green-frilled bonnet with pale spotting and a red shawl. The underside features impressed marks for the model number 371, the name Sairey Gamp, and MADE IN ENGLAND, alongside a stamped Beswick Ware Made in England manufacturer mark. The Withernsea Pottery jug is modelled as a textured tree trunk adorned with green leaves and a small seated rabbit figure at the base. The underside bears the stamped mark WITHERNSEA POTTERY EASTGATE FAUNA ENGLAND. Both items are constructed from glazed ceramic.
