Description
A solid pewter scale model depicting the Metropolitan 26 steam locomotive and accompanying coal tender, produced by Royal Hampshire. The locomotive features embossed lettering reading METROPOLITAN 26 on the side of the water tank. Both the engine and tender are mounted upon a section of pewter track, which is set into a rectangular wooden base with a reddish-brown finish. The underside of the base is fitted with a black felt pad bearing gold-coloured inscriptions for Royal Hampshire, The Metropolitan, and Hand Made in Hampshire, England, alongside the designation Solid Pewter and a copyright date of 1997.
