Description
A commemorative wall plaque featuring the poem High Flight by Pilot Officer John Gillespie Magee Jr. The item comprises an engraved brass-toned metal plate mounted onto a light-coloured wooden base. The plate is inscribed with the full text of the poem and is marked P/O J.G. MAGEE, JNR, 412 SQN RCAF at the lower right. An embroidered Royal Canadian Air Force pilot wing patch is affixed to the upper portion of the plate, featuring a central crown and the initials RCAF. The metal plate is secured to the wooden mount by four flat-head screws.
