Description
A U.S. Model 1860 pattern light cavalry sabre featuring a curved steel blade with a single fuller. The hilt is constructed with a brass three-branch guard and a pommel cap, housing a dark, ribbed grip bound with twisted wire. The accompanying metal scabbard includes two suspension rings, currently joined by a length of decorative ball chain, and terminates in a flared drag. No manufacturer markings or inscriptions are visible on the blade or hilt components.
