Description
A commemorative visitor pin for the XI Olympiad held in Berlin in 1936. The badge is constructed from metal with white enamel inlay. The obverse design depicts the Brandenburg Gate surmounted by a quadriga, with the date 1936 positioned below the chariot. A horizontal bar is inscribed XI. OLYMPIADE BERLIN, situated above the five interlocking Olympic rings. The reverse features a textured gold-tone finish and is fitted with a pin-back fastening and safety catch. It bears the maker mark PAULMAN and CRONE LUDENSCHEID and the legal protection mark GES. GESCH.
