Description
A commemorative philatelic numismatic cover (PNC) issued jointly by the Royal Mail and the Royal Mint to mark the 1997 handover of Hong Kong. The cover features a photographic background of the Hong Kong skyline, overlaid with a red and gold foil dragon graphic and the Chinese characters for Hong Kong. Inset into the cover is a Hong Kong five-dollar coin, dated 1997, in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The envelope is franked with four stamps, including three standard 1st class issues and one large commemorative Hong Kong stamp. All stamps are cancelled with a special London postmark dated 30 June 1997. The item is individually numbered No 20987 and includes the official logos for the Royal Mail and Royal Mint.
